It forms part of the Series 4 Airkey range, which features a redesigned case with improved sealing, a screw for easier opening and a die-cast surround while maintaining compatibility with previous Airkey generations.
The transmitter uses a custom programmed RF transmitter and microcontroller with high-security rolling code encryption to help prevent recorded codes from being duplicated. Operating on 433.92 MHz using ASK (OOK) transmission, it is housed in an IP65-rated enclosure and powered by a long-life CR2032 lithium/manganese button cell for reliable everyday operation.
